Waffle House is a hugely popular casual-dining restaurant chain. It has more than 2,000 restaurant locations around the United States (mostly in the South), and it specializes on breakfast foods—like waffles!—and diner-style classics: burgers, sandwiches, T-bone steaks, and widely loved hashbrowns. But can you find vegetarian food at Waffle House? We did the work so you don’t have to. According to the online menu and allergen information, there are 17 vegetarian options at Waffle House.
If you’re looking for vegetarian food at Waffle House, your best bet is to go at breakfast time. You can enjoy a wide range of breakfast items. Many of the classic menu items have a “Build Your Own” option, so it’s easy to create a meat-free breakfast. We recommend any of the waffles (of course!), but the Build-Your-Own Breakfast Sandwich is great, too. Alternatively, have a delicious Build-Your-Own Hashbrown Bowl and choose toppings to suit your taste.
For lunch or dinner, your choices are a little more limited, but you can still find vegetarian food at Waffle House. Try the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, or feast on a range of side dishes instead: Hashbrowns Scattered, Smothered and Covered is almost a meal in itself, but you can add a Salad to bulk it out if you want, too.
