Krispy Kreme is probably the best-known producer and seller of doughnuts in the world. It has over 1,000 locations around the world, including the United States (of course!), Australia, the UK, and Japan. Its menu is pretty limited in terms of variety — you can find doughnuts, and you can find drinks (mostly coffee), and that’s it. 

But is it possible to order vegan food at Krispy Kreme? We took a close look at their online nutrition and allergen menus and found that there are no vegan items at Krispy Kreme in the US. Every single doughnut on sale contains both dairy and eggs, meaning it’s impossible to order a doughnut here if you’re vegan. You can, however, enjoy the Chiller drinks, which are suitable for vegans, or a cup of black coffee. Be aware that all iced coffees contain milk, so these aren’t vegan-friendly.

If you want to enjoy vegan food at Krispy Kreme, you’re out of luck in the US, but you could enjoy a vegan doughnut at Krispy Kreme in the United Kingdom. There is one vegan doughnut on the menu in the UK: the original glazed vegan. So, if you’re ever “across the pond,” treat yourself to a vegan doughnut and see what you’re missing out on!
