As its name suggests, delicious stacks of pancakes are one of the best-known menu items, but you’ll also find larger breakfast items like bacon and eggs, omelettes, breakfast burritos, and French toast. As vegans will already know, it can be tricky to find breakfast food that’s free from animal products, so you’re probably wondering how to order vegan at IHOP. How easy is it?
We analyzed the online menu and allergen information and found there are 14 vegan options at IHOP that contain no animal products. So, what can you order? You’ll obviously have to avoid the pancakes, as these contain milk and eggs. The same goes for the French Toast, Omelettes, and the Breakfast Samplers and Combos. Instead, we recommend asking to build your own breakfast meal from a range of sides: the Hash Browns, Crispy Potato Cakes, and French Fries are all good vegan potato options, and you can bulk out the meal with things like Grits and Avocado.
Alternatively, go for an entree made up of savory sides—Broccoli Florets, Rice and Barley Medley, and Seasoned Fries are all vegan items at IHOP, meaning you can build a meal that suits you.
