Chuy’s Gluten Free Menu

Chuy’s is a chain restaurant known that serves Texas cuisine inspired my Mexican culinary creations; Tex-Mex for short. With origins rooted in Mexican food, it isn’t the most gluten-friendly food. However, there are some options you can eat if you navigate the menu correctly.

We’ve analyzed the allergen menu and ingredients list and found there are up to 31 gluten free options at Chuy’s, depending on your level of gluten sensitivity. Unfortunately, they typically cook everything in the same fryer, so some cross contamination can occur.

At Chuy’s the main thing you’re going to want to avoid is the flour tortillas. If you stick with the corn tortillas, you should be in the clear. Try Chick-Chick Boom Boom, Chicken or Beef Enchiladas. If you’re looking for something more substantial, try the Chicken Flautas or Soft Tacos with Beef.

For light options, they have several salads to choose from: Taco Salad with Seasoned Ground Beef, Grilled Chicken Salad, Mexi-Cobb Salad, and the Large Dinner salad. All these options are perfect for someone with a serve gluten intolerance because there is no tortilla so cross contamination is impossible. If that’s not enough to fill you up, order some Refried Beans, Mexican Rice, or Tortilla chips and Salsa (or Guacamole) on the side to complete the meal.

At DietMenus we work hard to ensure the accuracy of our menus. We use proprietary models and a manual research team to determine which menu items fit each diet. Despite our best efforts, we cannot guarantee that all menu items are 100% accurate. We aim to provide a strong starting point by removing most of the fluff but for some diets like vegan or gluten free sometimes more questions are needed. Please use your best judgement and double check with your waiter before ordering.
